Under the same roof
In celebration of Kyiv's National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecure's centennial, Gallery 83 dedicated a new exhibition called "Under the same roof." The gallery will display works of four artists simultaneously - Elena and Oleksandra Plesovska, Oleksiy and Petro Malynka.
Three generations of artists have attended the same academy of arts and are currently working under one roof of the same studio. Each one of them has their unique outlook on everything from technique and style of art, to life in general. However, what they have in common is family, and their artistic differences are facets of one whole. The difference in age, technique and tastes helps them to learn from one another. This exhibition will contain a myriad of techniques, ranging from watercolours and academic drawings circa 1950s, to iconography, sculpture and graphics.
