Gallery 83
Simplicity is not the absence of clutter; that's a consequence of simplicity. Simplicity is somehow essentially describing the purpose and place of an object and product.
Reflection, a Lena Sharashidze retrospective of paintings, graphics and experimental textiles, opens at Gallery83 on 5th March 2019.
The exhibition is a reflection from a life in culture and a life in general: to absorb events and impressions, to be inspired by them, and as a result to offer tribute to the beauty that fills each day with the desire to engage in theendless creative process.

What happens if you surrender to the power of the subconscious, to intuition, to spontaneous thoughts and colour prompts? What happens if you fall under the creative spell of a great master and confess your love through the thickness of time? What happens if a natural phenomenon as routine as rain encompasses a certain algorithm and fills it with watercolour poetry?

What happens is Unusual; a Meeting with Matisse, Rain on Paper…
What happens, if you go to Gallery83 this March?
-My exhibition. Reflection. Welcome!
"Any art that has reached its limit can extend a hand to another, related art". Richard Wagner.

Lena is a many-sided individual – a musician, artist and curator. Her work is filled with the pure spectrum of colours. At first glance her art is abstract or decorative painting… but it soon becomes clear that Lena is writing complex piano scores on canvas, where notes correspond to colours and tonality and modulation become a visual reflection of her music.
